Dear Diary,
I can't believe I'm keeping one of these things. No offense, but I don't like writing my feelings down. Be careful what you write, for then it is no longer a secret.
You know about my truck, right?
Well, the other day, I could have sworn it was alive because I felt it shudder when dirt got sprayed up on us. Like he didn't like the dirt.
I can never bear to call my truck 'an it'. I'm ashamed to admit, but it's because I don't have any friends but him he is just a great truck, so I can't help but love him.
Of course, there's my music. My violin playing is exquisite, in my opinion, so I want to start working on piano later. The scales are the first.
Of course, starting with middle C on the piano. The grand piano is my dad's and he can play it.
I think Mom hates me at times. I think Mom has a hard time accepting there's only going to be me. Oh well, I have to give my hands their ritualistic hand massage, and then rest.
Later Diary,
Starr

Dear Diary,
I've finally finished off my 'set' or ten composition pieces that I was working on. One, the first, is really an odd one. It has some jig components, and waltz undertones. It's very difficult to play, and jumps from being quite slow, whole & half notes, to 16th and 8th notes mainly, though with lots of 32nd notes thrown in.
I was very difficult on myself, and when I play it, I play it well. Of course, I did write that particular song for those advanced players who wished to challenge themselves.
The tenth is rather easy, and with a four beat count that holds a rest every six notes. The notes are quarter and 8th, with every once in awhile there being a half. The rests are quarter rests, and it is played at a slow tempo.
I highly suggest beginners play that one as it is very simple to learn, and easier to remember. It's also 'slow dance' material'.
I won't tell Dad, or Mom, but I got a one night job at Stye in the Eye.
Well, Break a Leg!
