"We?" Maria sounded surprised. "We just wanted to make sure that you're an Autobot. We're not here to elist anyone in the army, we just don't need anymore trouble makers."
Stinger seemed to brighten at Maria's words, it had been exactly what he had said and he thought that maybe he was rubbing off on her a bit, cleaning up her wild ways.
"Rapid Fire, I'll send you the co-ordinates of the safe place for all Autobots, if you or your human ever needs protection..." Stinger said, letting his sentance drop off. Rapid Fire would understand.

Rapid Fire decided not to growl and waited, patiently. "I don't know what to expect anymore. Besides, she won't need any other protection besides me," he muttered, and he shifted his weight slightly, accepting the coordinates all the same.
He wasn't stupid, and he watched Starr carefully. It would be awhile before she finished up, and he looked at Stinger. "Don't tell the rest I'm with a human. Might shock their Sparks too much, and kill some who really know me," he commented with a dry sense of humor.
Inside, Starr was partially regretting her decision to come here, but kept playing anyway. Finishing up, she looked at a clock, relieved to find she was almost done.
"I've got one hour folks. Any requests?" she asked, and after a short, on-stage break, went back to playing.

" 'cuse me boys." Maria sighed after a few minutes silence. She walked back into the bar and up to the stage, Starr was still setting up. "Hey, you up for a bit of harmless fun, really gettin' the crowd goin'?" she asked. "I kinda know how to get people exicted about the act that's going on, and I'm not trying to be pushy or anything. I just wanna help because I know that the owner tends to screw people over for money if some of the more 'important' costomers aren't entertained."

Starr looked up, and nodded. "Any help would be appreciated at all," she stated.
She looked around and whispered, "Besides, I don't want to get stiffed out of money. Go ahead."
Any help would be appreciated, and outside Rapid Fire 'looked' at Stinger. "What is she doing to my human?" he asked.

Stinger laughed a bit. "If I were to guess. I'd say what she's 'doing' is helping her out. Trying to make a friend. Which, she doesn't like to do at all." he replied.
Maria clambered up onto the stage with a smile. Stinger had been right, she didn't like making new friends, she didn't like formalities and she sure as heck didn't like it when people prodded questions out of her. She had only really liked Sam because he let her talk first, he didn't try to force it out of her. "Alright. You know 'Old Time Rock 'n' Roll' by Bob Segar?" she asked, grabbing a mike.

"That I do," Starr answered, pulling it out, and once out, she looked toward the mysterious Lady in Shining Dress (since she wasn't a Knight), waiting for her cue to start.
"Help? Fine," Rapid Fire muttered, and settled on his wheels, though in a way that was much like crossing arms in a very annoyed fashion.

Maria smiled and chuckled a bit into the microphone. "Hey guys, y'all know me. I'm Maria, and this is my new friend Starr." she said, this peeked the interest of a few people and they were pulled out of their drunken stupor for long enough to look over. Maria gave a nod to Starr and she began to play. Maria cleared her throat a bit and hoped that she really was as good as people continued to tell her, apparently she had the perfect voice for rock.
Just take those old records off the shelf Ill sit and listen to em by myself Todays music aln t got the same soul I like that old time rock n roll Dont try to take me to a disco Youll never even get me out on the In ten minutes Ill be late for the door I like that old time rockn roll

Starr didn't have a voice for singing; her talents lay in bringing out music to the people through instruments, though she kept time in her head. She didn't hum along, and outside, Rapid Fire tried not to laugh at it.
"Friend? I thought she didn't like making firends? Ah well. Boy, that song sounds wierd on the violin," he stated, and listened.

Stinger's hood raised a bit, it was his sign of surprise. "She hates making making friends. She really didn't like me in the beginning. She just kinda decided that 'cause she was stuck with me, she might as well just make the best of it." he tried to scan her, figure out what her body was saying she was feeling like. Mostly just adreniline. "Maybe she's changing." he said, but even as the words came out he knew that she hadn't, she was just.... branching out a bit.
Maria heard the sound of the violin and it totally clashed with the sound of the song in her head, although a few people in the crowd were clapping along to the song.
Still like that old time rockn roll That kind of music just soothes the soul I reminisce about the days of old With that old time rock n roll Wont go to hear them play a tango Id rather hear some blues or funky old soul Theres only sure way to get me to go Start playing old time rock n roll Call me a relic, call me what you will Say Im old-fashioned, say Im over the hill Today music aint got the same soul I like that old time rock n roll

Starr kept playing, ignoring the fact it was clashing badly, and she waited patiently for it to be over. It wasn't off tempo, but a rock song being played on and sung to violin was...odd. 'Dad's going to kill me when I come in smelling of cigarette smoke,' she thought, still playing.
Outside, Rapid Fire was debating about telling Starr that someone was really there when she was out there, screaming, crying, playing her heart out. 'Or when I 'stalled' to stop her from running over her violin,' he thought, thinking about all the times that Starr just hit it wrong with her mother.

When the song ended, several people stood up and clapped. Maria made a fake curtsey and winked over at Starr. "Okay, so that song totally like... crashed and burned. So, you choose the next one, and I'll tell you if I know it." she said with a laugh. " 'Cause obviously my brain got left back in my car."

"You figured it out now? How about...Ghost Riders in the Sky?" Starr answered, pulling out the music sheets for that song.
After all, if she didn't know it, she could always sing the song over Starr's shoulder. Well, the shoulder that didn't have the violin resting against it, but that was beside the point.

Maria nodded with a grin "Yah, I know that one. That's an old favourite of mine." Maria said, straightening up a bit.

Starr nodded, and began to play the song, loving the way it came off the violin, loving also the fact that it had a nice intro, giving Maria time to prepare, but also waited for her nod.

An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw A-plowing through the ragged sky and up the cloudy draw
Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky For he saw the Riders coming hard and he heard their mournful cry
Maria sang it the best she could, she knew that she missed a few notes here and there. The song reminded her of them... them being the Transformers of course. It sent a bit of a chill down her spine when she looked out and saw the headlights of Stinger trained towards her.
