Willa sat at her table, her history book spread out in front of her. She was struggling over the latest chapter, which was about Adolf Hitler and his little issue. Willa hated reading about the things that had been done, but in order to pass the class, she had to put up with it. Heaving a sigh, she sipped her soda and took a bite of her turkey club sandwhich. Though soon enough she heard the rumbling of an engine from a muscle car. Blue eyes lifted and gazed out the window at the car that had pulled up.
Her chewing slowed to a stop as Willa swooned over the car. If there was one thing Willa liked, it was muscle cars. Anything that roared when you started it, and growled as you drove it, had Willa's complete attention. God she would do anything for a car like that.

Maria swung out of the car with a soft laugh that something Stinger had whispered to her. She looked into the Cafe. "And you're sure that's her?"
"I'm postitive." Stinger replied as quietly as he could.
"Alright, I'll get her to come outside, and then you can get the crazy assed car that thinks this plan will work, to take her to the meeting place, I'll debreif her blah blah blah." Maria muttered and walked into the Cafe. She walked over to Willa, as if she was just walking past, but then she stopped. "Hey- I could swear I know you from somewhere." she said, looking at her with a kind smile.

Willa's blue eyes lifted to the girl who had stopped and spoke to her. "Um..Well unless you go to the public school, or live in town, I don't think you do." Then an idea came to her. "Or unless you have been to the gas station my dad owns. I work there." Her eyes shifted back to the car. An appreciative smile slid over her face. "Sweet car!"

Maria nodded "Gas station, sounds familiar." she looked out the window fondly at Stinger. "Yeah, he is." she said. "Oops, sorry, it's is. I kinda like to act like it's a real person sometimes." she smiled a bit and scuffed her feet- Acadamy Award here we go!" she chanted.

Willa laughed softly. "Oh don't feel bad, my dad does the same thing when he works on cars. If he drops a tool on the hood by accident he will apologize to it, and then get a rag to wipe where the tool had hit. I found myself doing it sometimes too. We have this one elderly couple who comes by for gas, and I will talk to their car. I'm all like 'You look kinda thirsty, how about a nice long neck.' And then I have to shake my head when I realize the woman is watching me."

Maria's eyebrows raised and she chuckled. "Yeah, well cars are pretty tuff." she nodded " Would you like to check mine out?" she offered "I think someone like you could really appreciate it."

Willa's eyes went wide. "Would I?! Hell yeah!" The youg girl looked like a kid in a candy store. The idea of getting a closer look at the car simply thrilled Willa to the core.

Maria smiled "Alright, well let's go then." she laughed a bit, feeling just the littlest bad at the fact that they were going to drive her to the Meeting Place, well, basically abduct her without really wanting to.

Willa hopped up, ready to follow. Yeah, she was eager to see the car. And had she known what was really going on, Willa probably would not have cared. She was a laid back, easy going kind of girl who was growing bored with the every day life. So if it was going to be wild and crazy, she might be the one to thank someone for giving her a thrill for a change.

Maria's stomach knotted around a bit. This didn't feel too great. But she opened the door and as Willa leaned in to check out the inside, Stinger slammed the door shut, knocking her further in and took off. Maria hopped into another car, that followed Stinger. "I don't feel too hot about this guys." she said.
"Calm down little one." the car she was in said "Everything happens for a reason"
"You gotta stop reading fortune cookies." she muttered.

Willa gave a squeal as she was bumped into the car. She was about to say something to the girl, when she realized she was alone in the car. But the car was driving. The car was driving!? Scared, Willa gave a cry. She had heard about robot cars and the like being able to drive themselves, but this was a trip. "Oh my God...Don't freak out Will...Don't freak out. You are dreaming. Yes...When you wake up you will be in the shop with your face pressed in an Auto Weekly magazine..C'mon Will...Wake up!"

Maria tapped her foot worriedly on the ground. "I really don't like this." she repeated. The car gave her no answer. She rolled her eyes tiredly and they pulled into the meeting place. She got out of the car and waited for Willa to climb out of Stinger, freaking out. She hated getting stuck with announcing in the newbies.

When the car stopped, a trembling Willa scramled out of the car. Taking a few good steps away from the car, Willa then turned her attention to the woman. Swallowing hard, she asked in a quiet voice. "How was your ride?" Her mind was desperately trying to figure out what was going on. And she did not want to take her fear and confusion out on the woman, she looked as if she were not enjoying herself at the moment. So, Willa opted to be polite. "Mine was...well...Different. At least I wasn't forced to listen to Polka."

Mariane smiled at the small joke the girl made, she sighed a bit "Well, okay. My name is Maria Gray and the car you just rode in was Stinger. Uh... see the thing is, these cars are robots. And there's a war going on, and you've been recruited... if you wanna I mean." Maria stammered a bit, she hated doing this.

Willa blinked. "Robots?" She was unsure if she had heard Maria correctly. "Recruited?...I don't understand." At least she was not flipping out.
